Well, yesterday evening I had a huge doe come within 20 yds at a stand I don't use very often. She would not come completely out in the shooting lane I cleared back in the Summer. I finally had a shot that had a couple of leaves but looked pretty clear. My carbon arrow shattered on a branch. She didn't run so I waited for another shot. Hit another branch.. Went out this morning. Three does came right to the bottom of my favorite stand just after daylight. They were so close the shooting rail on the stand was in my way. After 10 minutes or so I tried to slowly stand up to clear the rail- they took off. A few minutes later two more doe walked just out of my range. I figured I was pretty well busted there so I moved to the stand I was in yesterday evening. Just as I sat down another large doe was walking right towards me. I had a perfect shot ready. She just needed to take one more step from behind a very large tree and I had an easy 10yd shot. She stopped? There was another doe standing right behind me that snorted and both of them took off.

The good news is that you are seeing deer and a lot of 'em.

Hi Lane. I thought everyone left the site. Its great to see them. Its just a lot better to drop them! Have you been out at all? I have one doe so far and shot another that I couldn't find the blood trail. I've only seen two bucks- hope they start coming around when rut gets in full swing.

whats going on guys have no tleft the site i thought everyone else had wheres flint? i been getting my hunting ground ready for nov 15th and been to tennessee for a funeral for my grandmother and thought i might stay a few days it is so peacefull in the mountains plus she has about twenty acres with some big deer and turkeys on it so just kinda hung out ther for a while and doing some scouting i hunt there maybe three times a year i ahve got some good pictures on my hunting land bu tnone during the day hope that changes once cold weather gets here like lane said at least youre seeing deer on stand. you guys keep in touch and good luck

thanks fo the kind words she lived a long life 90 years no bad health died of old age. its that mountain i quess hope i live that long
