Poor man's ATV! 5 Months ago Karma: 12
Here's how I get around on the public hunting land where ATV's aren't allowed. Notice the gun/bow rack on the handle bars!

Is that a Lone Wolf treestand in the pic? I looked at those at the shot show this year for resale. How do you like it? Who carries them locally?

It is a Lone Wolf and really enjoy it. Year 4 for me coming up with it. Ligt and packable is why I bought it. Expensive though...

I didn't buy it locally. I got it online through Lancaster Archery. Mark's Outdoors may carry them in Vestavia.

Link up with Rajun Cajun over at MO. Maybe he can set you up to talk to LW. He sells them on the net. Prices are very steep on their ladder stand. The climbers are at a premium but not as killer as the ladder. I have LW climbing Sticks. Very, very light and solid.

Here's the model I use. It's the alpha hand climber model!

Price was one of the reasons I haven't tried reselling them. The model I tried out at the Shot show was a little uncomfortable. It had a fold out seat that I was't crazy about, different style than what's in the pic you sent.

My brother in the bike business in Vestavia and Homewood. Several companies have tried to get a hunting bike idea to stick but it's been a tall order. Great idea and the right company to come along and market the right way may do well. Problem: A bike with the gearing needed to get around in rough terrain would be as noisy as an ATV. If you're on somewhat level surfaces there is nothing better.

Big guys like me need more the enclosed sit/stand model. Although their technical benefits are excellent you are correct, they are on the high end of the deal. Unless they can provide some confidence that you can achieve the turnover and margins needed to take on their line. On other blogs I just don't many people talking about LW. They do speak highly of Summit with API not as much mention.

I also have an API grand slam magnum supreme...I'm a big guy too. 240lbs.

That API is by far more comfortable than the Lone Wolf but it's also a lot heavier and won't fold flat.

I fall asleep every time I take that API out but I've several deer from it...gun and bow.
