When checking the latest photos in my new I40, for some reason the night movies switched from 15 seconds to 5 and the daylight movies from 30 to 11 seconds. Camera is still set up for 30 second video. Haven't had time to call Moultrie but wondered if others have seen this.

Nope, sounds odd for sure

Called Moultrie today and was told they have never heard of either an I40 or I60 that didn't take 30 second color movies. "Send it in and we will fix it." (In 3 to 4 weeks.)

As the person I spoke with suggested that I might be using the wrong manufacturer's batteries, I concluded she really knew very little about the cameras or electronics in general.

As it will still be under warranty, I think I wait until after deer season. I can live with the short video clips. Maybe by then, I'll have a chance to further test out the differences between the I40 and the I60 and possibly see more of the strange discoloration on some of the photos on the I40.

i had to send 2 brand new cameras back to moultrie they got them on thursday of last week i called today and they told me the cameras were replaced and shipped back to me.
now to me how could 2 cameras have the same defect? i talked to a guy in service whose name was jay he sounded like he knew what was wrong but they turned them around in one week
maybe you could call them ask for jay in service and tell him what is going wrong with your camera maybe they can get them back to you soon. but it is aggravating to have to send brand new stuff back
