The mounting strap problem on the new Series of Moultrie cameras is due to people pulling the strap too tight. This causes two problems. One is breaking the strap bracket and the other is bowing the back of the camera and warping it to a point where it is no longer waterproof. Simple solution. Snug the camera to the tree. There is no need to get it really tight on the tree anyway. These have been excellent cameras and the strap has been the only inherent problem. There are mounts and lock boxes available if your strap bracket happens to break so it's only a minor problem. Hope this helps. Thanks for blogging with us at
